A fibrosarcoma is an inflamed (malignant) tumor that originates from the connective fibrous tissue located at the ends of the bones of the lower arm or leg and then proceeds to spread to other surrounding tissues, causing extreme pain and complications. It's a form of cancer that typically grows slowly over an extended period of time. Fibrosarcoma may develop for several reasons, including: primary tumors at the facial prominences on one or both sides of the heart; fibrosarcoma may develop in response to an infection (such as those that occur in the stomach or esophagus); tumors may also develop on other areas of the body other than the skin.
